- ➤ Kenosha County Eye is launching a twice-weekly Naughty and Nice list for the holiday season to spotlight residents who improve our community and to call out public figures whose actions fall short — readers may submit nominations by email, text or anonymously online. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A Kenosha mother, Heidi Tainter, and her 15-year-old daughter Brooklyn have set up a red Letters to Santa mailbox at 7927 22nd Avenue to gather children’s holiday wishes and drawings—each letter with a return address will get a handwritten reply from Santa and his elves. The mailbox is open for letters through December 18 and the duo hopes it becomes a cherished local tradition. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Kenosha YMCA, United Way and local partners are running the Every Child Warm in the Winter clothing drive at Frank Elementary until December 6 — donations of winter coats, hats, mittens or gloves and snowpants and boots are needed. Kenosha News

- ➤ Students and staff at Curtis Strange Elementary School returned from Thanksgiving break with heavy hearts after mourning the Kannin siblings—Connor, Rylee and Alena—who died in an apartment fire while investigators work to determine the cause. TMJ-4
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A new law took effect on September 1 that limits vaping sales in Wisconsin to only e-cigarettes on the state's Electronic Vaping Device Directory—manufacturers had to pay $500 per product and show FDA review or approval, making many existing vape products illegal. Kenosha.com
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Kenosha County Substance Abuse Coalition says NARCAN is a life-saving medicine that can reverse opioid overdoses quickly and is free at health vending machines at Hope Council, The Sharing Center, and the WIC Office—while the Job Center offers it during business hours.
